There is a Born and Bong Connection between Satyajit and Rabindra Nath. Both Satyajit Ray and Rabindra Nath Tagore The Most Iconic Personality from Kolkata West Bengal. They both are very much International also. Satyajit Ray is known for Films and Rabindra Nath is known for his Poems and Novels. Both won the Highest Awards on their fields. Rabindra Nath won Nobel in 1913 for Geetanjali and Satyajit won Oscar for his Lifetime Achievement in 1992.
Satyajit did 29 Feature Films, Five Documentaries and Two Shortfilms in his career. He mostly took stories for his films from Bengali literature. Ray took stories from Bibhutibhusan, Tarashankar, Parshuram, Sunil Ganguly. He took his own stories also when he did Feluda Movies.

Satyajit made five films with Rabindra Nath Tagore’s Stories, Those are Postmaster, Monihara, and Somapti in Teen Kanya, Ghare Baire and Charulata (Nastoneer).
Satyajit said that Charulata was the Most Favorite Film among all his films. Most interesting that when he made films with Tagore’s Stories he won National Awards.
