Feluda The Famous Fictional Character by Satyajit Ray was a Detective cum Private Investigator. He loves to solve the mystery and crime by Passion. Later it will be his Profession. He had an Assistant Topshe (Topesh Ranjan Mitra) and a Writer Friend Lalmohan Ganguly (Jatayu).
Feluda's official name was Pradosh Chandra Mitra (Pradosh Chandra Mitter) but we love to call him Feluda. Feluda began his journey with the story of Feludar Goyendagiri. Satyajit Ray wrote 35 Stories with Feluda. Topshe his assistant from the very first story. Topshe was also Feluda's Cousin. Lal Mohan Babu joined with Felu from the Story Sonar Kella and after Sonar Kella Lal Mohan Babu was present always with Feluda.

Satyajit Ray made two Films with Feluda Stories 'Sonar Kella' and 'Joy Baba Felunath' starring with Soumitra Chatterjee as Feluda, Siddhartha Roy as Topshe and Santosh Dutta as Jatayu. According to the majority, they were the perfect casting till now. After death Santosh Dutta, Ray decided he will never make Feluda movie because nobody can't play Jatayu Character as better than Santosh Dutta.
After 1979, the last movie Jay Baba Felunath, Sandip Ray son of Satyajit Ray planned to make another movie with Feluda. Already he had the experience to make Feluda Stories, he did a Television series 'Feluda 30' with Sabyasachi Chakraborty as Feluda, Saswata Chatterjee as Topshe and Robi Ghosh as Lal Mohan Ganguly.
In 2003, a New Feluda Movie appeared in Cinema Hall. Bombaiyer Bombyete directed by Sandip Ray starring Sabyasachi as Felu, Parambrata Chatterjee as Topshe and Bibhu Bhattacharya as Jatayu. It was a blockbuster. after that, Sandip Ray made more Feluda Films. During time casting as Feluda and others are changed. Abir Chatterjee appeared as New Feluda and Saheb played Topshe.
After 2011, there was a Clash between Director and Main Actor Abir Chatterjee. Abir wanted to play another Detective Fictional Character Byomkesh alongside Feluda. Sandip Ray did not allow and he did not take Abir as feluda anymore.
There is an upcoming movie with two different Stories of Feluda named Double Feluda with again Sabyasachi as Feluda. Audiences are very surprised about this decision and they did not take it very well. Real life Sabyasachi is 60+ and Feluda was a Young Character. Now time will say how people take Sabyasachi as Feluda once again.

Feluda Teleseries was a Satyajit Ray presentation and Sandip Ray directed for Doordarshan. Sashi Kapoor played the character of Feluda and Mohan Agashe was Jatayu.
Sandip Ray made a Some Tele Series For Kolkata Doordarshan also Feluda Stories named Feluda 30 and Satyajiter Gappo. Sabyasachi Chakraborty was Feluda and Saswata Chatterjee was Topshe. Robi Ghosh played as Jatayu. Sandip Ray made a Telefilm Baksha Rahasya with same team.
Feluda was presented also in AIR. The first story for Radio was Bakshya Rahosya made by Satyajit Ray himself with his set of Actors Soumitra Chatterjee, Siddhartha Chatterjee, Santosh Dutta and Others. Akashbani also produced Darjeeling Jamjamat with Same Actors. Later Sandip Ray made two more dramas with Sabyasachi, Parambrata, Bibhu Bhattacharya, Paran Bandopadhyay and Others in 2007. Some Feluda stories also presented by the Radio Mirchi team in their popular program Sunday Suspense.
From last 5 or 7 years Anandmela (Puja Barshiki) is publishing Feluda stories inform of Comics. Avijeet Bandopadhyay made these illustrations.
